「4人で殴り、刺した」おばが供述 フィリピンで日本人女性ら死亡
フィリピン・ケソン州タヤバス市で日本国籍のモテギ・マイさん（26）とフィリピン国籍の母（54）の遺体が14日に見つかり、モテギさんのおばが「4人で殴り、刺して殺害した」と供述していることが、現地警察などへの取材でわかった。警察は、おばの夫を含む残り3人の行方を追っているという。
現地の警察情報やメディア報道を総合すると、死亡したのは航空関連会社に勤務していたモテギさんと、母親のロリー・リタダさん。2人は日本在住で、2月から休暇でフィリピンを訪れていたという。
2人は2月21日から行方不明となり、3月14日に警察の捜索で、親族宅の裏庭の地中に埋められているのが見つかった。近くの川では、2人のスーツケースや血の付いた毛布などが発見された。
警察はこの家に住むモテギさんのおばが、2人の死亡に関与した疑いがあるとみて身柄を拘束。おばはリタダさんの姉で、遺体が見つかった後に自殺を図り、入院している。事情聴取に対し、「私の夫を含む3人とともに、モテギさんらを殴ったり刃物で刺したりした」と殺害を認めたという。遺体には複数の刺し傷が確認されている。
