Grammatical Points:
- ちゅうちょなく: This is a negative form of the noun ちゅうちょ (hesitation) combined with なく, which negates the noun, meaning “without hesitation.”
- 迷うことなく: Here, 迷う (to hesitate) is in its dictionary form, and ことなく means “without doing,” so it translates to “without hesitating.”
- 抱え込まずに: This is the negative form of the verb 抱え込む (to bear or carry something), combined with ずに, which means “without doing.”
- 呼びかけた: This is the past tense of the verb 呼びかける (to call out or appeal).
Structure:
- The sentence is structured as a quote within a larger narrative. The main clause is “呼びかけた” (called out), and the quoted content is a series of instructions or advice. The use of multiple negative forms emphasizes the urgency and importance of seeking help without delay or hesitation.
「子どもの泣き叫ぶ声や保護者の怒鳴り声がする」
Grammatical Points:
- 泣き叫ぶ: This is a compound verb formed from 泣く (to cry) and 叫ぶ (to shout), indicating that the child is both crying and shouting.
- 声や: The particle や is used to list examples, implying there are other similar sounds or voices.
- 保護者の怒鳴り声: Here, 保護者 (guardian) is modified by の to indicate possession, meaning “the guardian’s shouting voice.”
- がする: This phrase means “there is” or “I hear,” indicating the presence of the sounds mentioned.
Structure:
- The sentence lists two types of sounds (the child’s and the guardian’s) that are being heard. The structure is straightforward, with the subject (声) followed by the verb (する), creating a clear image of the situation being described.
「22年度に全国の児童相談所が子どもの虐待について受けた相談対応件数は21万4843件と年々増加傾向にある。」

- 全国の児童相談所: This phrase means “child consultation centers nationwide,” where 全国 (nationwide) modifies 児童相談所 (child consultation centers).
- 受けた: This is the past tense of the verb 受ける (to receive), indicating that the consultations were received in the past.
- 相談対応件数: This compound noun means “number of consultation responses.”
- 増加傾向にある: This phrase means “is on the rise,” where 増加 (increase) is a noun and 傾向 (tendency) indicates a trend.
Structure:
- The sentence presents a statistical fact about the number of consultations received by child consultation centers in a specific year. It begins with the time frame, followed by the subject (全国の児童相談所), the action (受けた相談対応件数), and concludes with the observation about the trend (増加傾向にある).
